1. Information We Collect
Mississippi RideForce collects information to provide better services to all our users. This includes:
- Personal Identity: Name, email address, and phone number.
- Location Data: Real-time GPS location of drivers and riders during active trips for safety and navigation.
- Payment & Financial Information: Handled securely via Stripe and Mercury. We use Plaid Technologies, Inc. ("Plaid") to securely connect your bank accounts for direct deposits, employer escrow funding, and payouts. We do not store your Plaid login credentials. By using our service, you grant us and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution. You explicitly agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.
- Driver Documents: Driver's licenses, insurance, and vehicle information for verification.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to maintain, protect, and improve our services, including matching riders with drivers and ensuring the safety of our Mississippi workforce commute routes.
3. Information Sharing
We do not share personal information with companies, organizations, or individuals outside of Mississippi RideForce except in the following cases:
- For Matching: Your name and pickup location are shared with the driver who accepts your schedule.
- For Safety: Location data may be shared with emergency services if an emergency is triggered.
- Legal Reasons: We will share personal information if we have a good-faith belief that access is necessary to meet any applicable law, regulation, or legal process.
4. Data Security
We work hard to protect our users from unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure, or destruction of information we hold. We use encryption (SSL/TLS) for data in transit and AES-256 for sensitive data at rest.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy. Financial and sensitive data will be permanently deleted 30 days after account closure. You can initiate account closure at any time from the "Danger Zone" in your Profile settings.
